Wow, a lot has happened since my last update a little over a month ago! The biggest update: I’m in Romania now and not South Africa!! Due to restrictions rising with the virus, our plans got changed last minute and our next country got rerouted to Romania. I’ve been here for a little over 3 weeks and am getting use to the new pace of life.

Living here in Europe has been way different than Central America and reminds me a lot of the United States: fast paced and busy. Ministry has also looked different than what we’ve been doing the past couple of months. Here, in the morning, we have a time of prayer and intercession. WOW. This has been so cool to be a part of and just witness. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever prayed more than now. But it’s been so sweet and cool in just the way God has reminded me over and over the prayers He’s answered in the past and just His faithfulness in continuing to answer prayers now and in the future - sometimes not how we expect but more than we could imagine. In the afternoon, we go around the city and evangelize to the community or sometimes go to the neighboring Roma communities to witness to them. Last night our ministry looked like going around the city and asking people if we could pray for them. Most people are very open and receptive to prayer so it’s been really cool to build and make connections that way!

My friend and old teammate, Heather, started a podcast at the beginning of the race and it’s been fun being able to be a part of it with her! I’m going to post the link of the last 2 we did together. It was fun going back and relistening to them because the first one was recorded on our last day of the mountain. This is when we still thought we were going to South Africa and had all of these other expectations that turned out way differently but still really good. I’ll post the links to both of them if you want to give them a listen!!

The Lord has been teaching me A LOT the past month on dependence on Him. It’s personally been a challenging month but the struggle always reminds me of my need for Him.
